For Our Providers

Providing child care professionals
With the resources they need

The work of early childhood professionals is of great value and importance to Logan, Phillips and Sedgwick Counties. Child care providers and early childhood teachers nurture the future, one child at a time. ECCLPS is working to increase the resources available for wages, benefits, and programming within the early care and education system.

Providing Quality Support

One of ECCLPS’s main goals is helping child care providers and preschool programs feel successful in their quest to provide high-quality care and education services in Logan, Phillips and Sedgwick Counties.

Quality of care is dependent on many aspects of a child care setting, including:

  • Provider/teacher skills and characteristics
  • Environment
  • Staffing ratios
  • Specialized training
  • Safety
  • Relationships between staff, children and parents
  • Availability of services

Helping You Succeed

ECCLPS supports quality incentive programs designed to help child care centers, preschools, and family child care providers understand the factors that the state uses to determine quality and strengthen those elements within their settings.

Accreditation is a valuable tool for evaluating the quality of child care programs according to professional standards and for strengthening programs. Achieving accreditation shows parents and potential employees that the child care program is committed to high standards of quality and ongoing program improvement.

If you have an accreditation or certification that is not currently recognized as an alternative pathway, the accrediting institution can complete an application for QRIS level assignment for School District Programs or Other Accrediting Entities. Accrediting institutions can also visit Colorado Shines (coloradoshines.com) for additional information. If approved, your program can then submit on your QRIS for your Quality Level.
